Plant a seed. Hold a hand.

Cancer led me to paint a picture which reflects the cells as circles. The blue circle represents the water’s healing effects through the majesty of a nearby river drawing me nearer. The yellow daisy is my lifeline to nature. The largest circle portrays the cancer cell which consumed my body, mind and spirit. Small dots inside the cancer cell reflect the constant battle raging between cancerous and healthy cells. The orange circle reminds me of treatments and side effects including TOTAL loss of hair and energy. The Scots pine reflects 36,000 seedlings planted by my husband and family on the Canadian prairies. Their growth created HOPE for the future. The child’s hand holds the love of grandchildren who lifted my spirits higher than the sky.
